Café Styled - Homemade Strawberry Matcha Latte

Ingredients (1 Serving):
- 5–6 fresh strawberries (hulled and chopped)
- 2 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)
- ¼ cup whole milk or oat milk of your choice (for strawberry layer)
- ½ cup whole milk or oat milk of your choice (for matcha layer)
- 1 tsp Akari Premium Barista Matcha (sifted)
- 60ml hot water (around 75–80°C)
- Ice cubes
Instructions:
1. Make the Strawberry Purée
In a small bowl, mash the strawberries with the sugar until juicy and slightly chunky.
You can also blend them briefly if you prefer a smoother texture.
2. Assemble the Strawberry Layer
Pour the strawberry mixture into the bottom of your glass.
Add about ¼ cup of milk (cold) over the strawberries and gently stir once to create a marbled effect.
3. Prepare the Matcha
Sift 1 teaspoon of Akari matcha into a small bowl.
Whisk it with 60ml of hot (but not boiling) water until smooth and frothy.
Pro Tip: A bamboo whisk (chasen) makes it easier to achieve a silky, clump-free matcha.
4. Layer It Beautifully
Fill your glass with ice cubes (gently, to keep the layers distinct).
Carefully pour the matcha over the ice, letting it float over the strawberry milk layer.
5. Sip & Savour
Stir lightly before drinking, or sip as-is for that gorgeous layered taste - creamy, fruity, grassy, and utterly refreshing.
